Inguna Dobraja has become the new World Bank Country Manager for Moldova since July 1.

She replaced Anna Akhalkatsi, who has been the World Bank Country Manager for Moldova since August 2017, and has now been assigned to a new job in Bucharest. Ms. Dobraja, a Latvian national, has started her post in Chisinau on July 1. She has been the World Bank’s Country Manager for the Cambodia Country Office since 2016. Prior to that, between 2012 and 2016, she was the Country Manager for the Liberia Country Office and oversaw the launch of several large infrastructure projects and the response to and recovery from the Ebola epidemic of 2014 - 2015. Inguna Dobraja has been with the World Bank for over 25 years. Prior to joining the Bank, from 1990 to 1993, Ms. Dobraja served as Director of the International Economic Relations Department at the Ministry of Welfare in Latvia. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from University of Latvia and has the Executive Leadership Program diploma from the Harvard Business School. // 05.07.2021 – InfoMarket
