
Moldova has reached the finals of the City Nation Place Awards 2025, an international competition recognizing outstanding achievements in national branding and economic development
The Investment Agency announced this, noting that, in competition with the world's largest countries, regions, and cities, this recognition confirms that Moldova's strategies are gaining international recognition. This year, Moldova is participating in the City Nation Place Awards with two projects: "Moldova in the EU" (Best Communication Strategy – Country Brand), a campaign based on the concept of "Moldova, Europe," which reflects the country's European path through a clear, compelling, and ambitious message; and the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine in Chisinau (Best Communication Strategy – Economic Development), an initiative that positioned Moldovan winemaking on the global stage, highlighting both its heritage and the industry's innovation and economic potential. The Investment Agency highlighted Moldova's previous achievements in the City Nation Place competition: 2022 – winner (Best Civic Engagement) with the Moldova for Peace project; 2024 – semi-finalist with the Diaspora Invest project.
