Government has granted Moldova HiTech Park the status of an industrial park
The relevant resolution was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on October 1.
The Park will be created on a total area of 50 hectares, and the approved decision transfers the initial territory of 24 hectares to administrative use, changing its intended purpose from agricultural land to land for construction and development. After receiving the status of an industrial park, Moldova HiTech Park LLC will have the rights and obligations of a management company to ensure the functioning of the park by attracting investments and residents, developing infrastructure, and ensuring a competitive environment for innovative companies. It should be recalled that in August this year, the government established the management company of the Moldova HiTech Park. In particular, a limited liability company was created, in which 55% of the capital belongs to the state through the Public Property Agency, 15% to the Chisinau Municipal Council, 15% to the Stauceni mayoralty, and 7.5% each to the Technical University of Moldova and the N. Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The company's authorized capital is 3 million lei. The Park's goal is to transform Moldova's economy and technology by stimulating high value-added industries and attracting local and foreign investment. Through the development of this Park, the government aims to strengthen our country's position as a regional center for innovation and technology. Investments are focused on areas of strategic importance and global potential for accelerated growth: artificial intelligence, medical technologies (HealthTech), green energy (EnergyTech), precision agriculture (AgriTech), fintech, robotics, and advanced engineering. The Ministry emphasizes that the creation of Moldova HiTech Park means not only economic development, but also new jobs, knowledge transfer, and Moldova's integration into international value chains. // 01.10.2025 — InfoMarket
