The EU, within the framework of the Growth Plan for Moldova, will support its businesses, especially SMEs, and help attract new investments to the country
This was discussed during a meeting that the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Roxana Mînzatu held in Chisinau with the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova Doina Nistor. According to the Permanent Representation of the European Union to our country, the discussions focused on the Growth Plan for Moldova - a key instrument for stimulating the reforms necessary in the process of accession to the European Union. Among the topics discussed were support for local businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, attracting European and international investments, as well as accelerating the digital transition - necessary for building a modern and competitive economy. It is planned that these areas of activity will directly contribute to the sustainable development of our country, the creation of higher-paying jobs and the approximation of standards to those of the European Union for the direct benefit of Moldovan citizens. It is also reported that during her visit, Roxana Mînzatu visited the Technical University of Moldova and the Tekwill Innovation Center. There, she took part in a fair of student and teaching initiatives implemented by the country's universities in cooperation with European higher education institutions within the framework of European educational programs, such as Erasmus and eTwinning. At the end of the visit, the Vice-President of the European Commission got acquainted with the programs for the inclusion of children with special needs in school education, promoted by the founder of the Prietena mea association, Ludmila Adamciuc. In turn, Doina Nistor wrote on her social network page that during the meeting with Roxana Mînzatu, she noted that our people are the most valuable agents of economic growth: flexible, creative, hardworking and goal-oriented, who deserve quality jobs and real opportunities for professional development. The parties discussed how to work together to turn our country's aspirations into reality and how to help today's young people become tomorrow's professionals. "We also talked about the need for training programs that meet market needs, support for local entrepreneurs and the importance of a safe, fair and inclusive work environment. I thank Moldova for its openness and sincere support. I am convinced that investing in people and in the quality of jobs is the foundation of a strong and prosperous Moldova," Doina Nistor emphasized.// 10.06.2025 – InfoMarket.
