Individual residential buildings will be able to accommodate retail outlets, including repair shops, cafes, pastry shops, and fast food locations
This is provided for by amendments to the Law on Domestic Trade, approved by the government as part of the debureaucratization package. It is proposed to deviate from the Law on Housing by allowing residential premises in multi-story buildings to be used for economic activities (placing a boarding house or agri-boarding house, but only on the ground floor, as well as online or mail-order trade), provided that economic entities strictly adhere to the work schedule, ensure sanitary support for all premises, including common areas, etc. It is also proposed to allow the use of individual residential buildings for 10 types of activities: cafes, pastry shops, fast food outlets, repair shops, trade intermediation, rental services, etc. Such entities are required to comply with a number of requirements, for example, to provide access to regulatory authorities to all premises related to entrepreneurial activity, have permission from the owner of the house, etc. These amendments are expected to allow small entrepreneurs to save money by using their own or rented real estate to carry out their activities. The bill must be approved by parliament. // 06.06.2025 — InfoMarket
