Moldovan authorities' priorities in the process of modernization, supported by the EUR 1.9 billion Growth Plan, were presented in Brussels
This was reported by the government's press service, noting that, in particular, Prime Minister Dorin Recean took part in a public debate in Brussels dedicated to the progress of reforms and measures taken in the process of Moldova's European integration. The event brought together EU officials and representatives of international institutions, who discussed how financial assistance from the EU can stimulate the country's economic development. In his speech, the head of the Cabinet presented the government's priorities in the process of modernization, supported by the EUR 1.9 billion Growth Plan - the largest support package ever provided to Moldova by the European Union. "This Plan is a clear sign of the EU's trust in the citizens of Moldova and in the direction chosen by the government. "This is a real opportunity to attract investments and create European living conditions: high-paying jobs, modern roads, kindergartens, schools and hospitals, like in any EU Member State," Dorin Recean said. According to him, the Growth Plan includes two main components: a broad program of structural reforms and a consistent package of public investments. The reforms are aimed at modernizing the administration, developing a competitive business environment, combating corruption, increasing transparency in the management of public funds, and ensuring equal access to education, healthcare and social protection. At the same time, investments will contribute to the restoration of transport infrastructure, modernization of energy networks, digitalization of public services, construction of regional hospitals and support for agriculture and strategic industries. Herewith, the Prime Minister emphasized the attractiveness of Moldova for investments in such areas as renewable energy, electronics and the pharmaceutical sector. The head of the Cabinet also noted that the business environment in our country is stable and safe, offering attractive conditions for investors. The Prime Minister also spoke about the digitalization of the economy and the dynamic development of the information technology sector. Dorin Recean confirmed the government's firm commitment to preparing Moldova for accession to the European Union within clear and realistic timeframes. "The pace of development depends on us. Moldova's European future depends on our unity and work," the head of the Cabinet emphasized. // 03.06.2025 – InfoMarket.
