
Moldova's external state debt increased by $62.81 million (+1.7%) in January-November 2024, amounting to $3 billion 759.02 million as of the end of November
The Ministry of Finance reported that, in 11 months of 2024 net external financing amounted to $207.05 million, as the volume of new loans received in January-November 2024 amounted to $522.72 million and turned out to be higher than payments on the principal amount of external debt for the mentioned period ($315.67 million). At the same time, in 11 months of 2024, a negative value of fluctuations in the exchange rate of the US dollar against other currencies was registered, which amounted to $144.24 million, and as a result, in January-November 2024 the external state debt in US dollar terms increased by $62.81 million (+1.7%) - up to $3 billion 759.02 million as of the end of November.
