Legal units of all categories must submit or update data on beneficial owners by 2025.
As reported by the Public Services Agency, since September 4, the procedure for checking, registering and updating data on beneficial owners of legal entities, non-profit organizations, individual entrepreneurs and peasant / farm enterprises has changed. This is due to the amendments to the Law on Prevention and Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, which relate to the definition of the concept of the beneficial owner and the existing discrepancies in the data on this in the State Register of Legal Units of Discrepancies and in the reports submitted by the subjects. Accordingly, the Public Services Agency has updated the forms of declarations of beneficial owners (they are available on the website of the institution). All legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations registered in Moldova are required to submit to the Public Services Agency information on the beneficial owner / owners and / or update it before January 1, 2025.
