
Revenues of the national public budget of Moldova for 7 months in 2023 amounted to 55 billion 620.7 million lei, which is 14.1% (6.9 billion) more than in the same period of 2022.
The Finance Ministry reported that about 63% of the national public budget revenues were taxes and fees: 34 billion 906.2 million lei, by 9.5% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, almost 47% of tax revenues to the budget were ensured by applying VAT on imported and produced goods in Moldova - 16 billion 435.7 million lei, by 3.8% more than in the same period last year. Contributions to the national public budget from the payment of compulsory social insurance contributions amounted to 16 billion lei. 416.6 million lei, which is by 17.3% more than in January-July last year. Grants came in the amount of 1 billion 521.8 million lei (256.6 million lei in the same period last year), other revenues of the national public budget amounted to 2 billion 776.1 million lei (+7.3%). At the same time, the expenditures and non-financial assets of the national public budget of Moldova for the first 7 months of 2023 amounted to 64 billion 212.5 million lei, which is by 21.9% (11.5 billion lei) more than in the same period of the previous year. The national public budget's own expenditures amounted to 60 billion 076.5 million lei (+21.7%), while non-financial assets amounted to 4 billion 136 million lei (+25.4%). Almost 43% of expenditures were allocated to social needs - 25.8 billion lei (+22.4% compared to January-July 2022), 23.7% (14.26 billion lei) to personnel expenses (+14.4%), 18% to goods and services - 10.9 billion lei (+8.1%).
