
Revenues from privatization and denationalization of state property in Moldova amounted to 110.09 million lei in the first half of 2023, down by 29.5%, compared to the same period of the last year (156.07 million lei).
Such data are contained in the information report of the Public Property Agency (APP) on the results of public property management and denationalization in January-June 2023. Most of the revenues (77%) were made up of deductions from the net profit of state-owned enterprises and dividends in joint-stock companies with state share - 84.5 million lei. At the same time, the state budget received funds in the form of royalties from the concession of property and land - 13.5 million lei, including 7.3 million lei - under the contract on concession of assets managed by the SE "Chisinau International Airport" and the adjacent land plot, and 6.05 million lei - compensation to the budget, established in accordance with the public-private partnership contract on modernization and increase of efficiency of activity of the SE "Bus Stations and Terminals". Also, 9.57 million lei was transferred to the state budget from the lease of agricultural lands, and 2.6 million lei from the lease of non-agricultural lands. The Public Property Agency reported that it monitored 44 contracts on public-private partnerships and concessions registered in the State Register of Public Property and 2 sale and purchase contracts of public property objects privatized at commercial tenders. Also, feasibility studies for 4 new PPP projects promoted by the central public administration authorities were agreed. It is also reported that the transfer of the assets of the Chisinau airport under state ownership has been finalized, following the termination of the concession agreement on the assets managed by the airport and the related site, signed in 2013. // 01.09.2023 - InfoMarket
