The priority task of the Moldovan authorities is to purchase gas at the most favorable prices on the market and to build up sufficient gas reserves - the Supreme Security Council.
This was stated during the regular meeting of the Supreme Security Council (CSS) held by Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the eve of the meeting where the energy security of the country and preparation for the cold season were discussed. According to the press service of the head of state, the members of the Supreme Security Council reported on the measures taken by the state institutions to ensure the supply of natural gas and electricity in the near future, on the implementation of major investment projects in the energy sector and on energy efficiency programs. Based on the information provided by the competent authorities, the CSS members adopted a number of decisions and recommendations. As noted, the state should be ready to provide consumers with uninterrupted access to energy resources - gas, electricity, heat carrier - under any conditions. It is also necessary to ensure the ability to provide assistance to unprotected categories of citizens. The priority task this year will again be the purchase of gas at the most favorable prices and the formation of sufficient gas reserves.
