In Moldova, foreign investors will have access to the investor-nanny service, and Marin Ciobanu will be the contact person.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Recean, at the Investment/Development/European Integration Economic Forum, presenting the main 9 factors that make Moldova attractive to investors. Dorin Recean named large infrastructure and energy projects that will be implemented in the coming years as one of the reasons for investing in Moldova. Also will appear the investor-nanny service, and Marin Ciobanu, the head of the Investment Agency, will be the contact person. The prime minister said that a very clear system of responsibility will be organized in the government in order to help investors to realize themselves as efficiently as possible in terms of business. Among other factors of investment attractiveness, Dorin Recean mentioned access to the European market – Moldova and the European Union have a DCFTA, a Free Trade Agreement, and in the process of transposition of European norms, the EU market will be more accessible to everyone who works in the country. He also noted access to the capital market - amendments are now being made to the legislation and regulatory framework in order to intensify activities in this direction. “We will start with the capital market in Bucharest, then we will continue further,” said Dorin Recean. He called human capital and the intention of the country's universities to effectively train personnel for business as an important factor. The efficiency of institutions has increased - public services are as close as possible to the business environment and the citizen. “Next is digitalization: here we will focus on the digitalization of not only public services, but also the economy. This means that our services should facilitate interaction between economic agents, not only within Moldova, but also outside of it. This is where the contribution of banking and payment services is very important,” said Dorin Recean. Also in Moldova, various development platforms have demonstrated success - depending on the business model, investors can choose free economic zones or IT parks, etc. In addition, access to financing for small and medium-sized businesses is constantly expanding. “And it also helps big business, because big business needs services and products in creating the value chain. And we have it,” the Prime Minister said.//22.02.2023 — InfoMarket.
