Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea stated this while presenting the priorities of the agrarian department for the current year and the activities to be included in the Government Action Plan 2023 under the section dedicated to agriculture. He said that this year, the Ministry of Agriculture proposes to adopt a series of policies aimed at enabling the harmonization of national legal framework with the European one and facilitating farmers' access to budget funds or external financing. The measures contained in the government's Action Plan 2023 in the field of agriculture were presented during a public consultation held with the participation of the main NGOs in the field. One of the main innovations announced by Vladimir Bolea concerns the creation of advisory centers and agricultural chambers at the local level, designed to help farmers gain access to external sources of funding. "We have to be seriously prepared to use the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), financial instruments for the process of preparing for accession to the European Union. And farmers will be assisted through these agricultural centers and chambers to work with external financing," said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture. According to him, the Government Action Plan 2023, the section on agriculture, provides for improvement of the subsidy mechanism so that mostly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises would be supported. The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture will also be reorganized to ensure greater transparency in the spending of public funds.
