According to the department, in December 2020, the volume of industrial production decreased by 1.8%, compared to the same month of the previous year. In general, in 2020, compared to 2019, production volumes in the extractive industry increased by 9.5%, and in the processing industry - decreased by 7.1%. According to the NBS, food industry enterprises in 2020, compared to 2019, reduced their overall production by 5.8%. The production of drinks decreased by 11.7%, textile products - decreased by 2.7%, clothing - decreased by 7.4%. Tanning and finishing of leather; production of suitcases, bags, harness and saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur increased by 0.1%, and in the section wood processing and production of products from wood and cork, except for furniture; production of articles made of straw and other plant materials for plaiting - a decline of 24.1%. Production of paper and paper products decreased by 0.3%, while production of chemicals and chemical products increased by 26.2%. The output of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals decreased by 5.2%, and rubber and plastic products - by 5.5%. In the metallurgical industry, production fell by 5.6%. The output of metal structures and products, except for machinery, equipment and installations, increased by 6.8%, computers, electronic and optical products - decreased by 24.5%. The production of electrical equipment decreased by 34.2%, machinery and equipment decreased by 30.9%, cars, trailers and semi-trailers - decreased by 34.9%, furniture - increased by 3.4%. In terms of repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment, the decline was 10.5%. The production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, hot water increased by 2.3%.
