
The European Union will provide Moldova with a 15 million euros grant to assist the country in overcoming the sanitary and economic crisis.
This is stipulated by the Financing Agreement between Moldova and the European Commission regarding the “COVID-19 Resilience Contract” for the Republic of Moldova, the start of negotiations on which and subsequent signing in a simplified form was approved by the decree of the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu. The head of state wrote on her page on the social network that the provision of this EU grant was discussed during her recent visit to Brussels, and in this regard, she signed a decree on the start of negotiations and the signing of the above-mentioned financial agreement between Moldova and the European Commission on financial assistance from the European Union to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic.
