Germany ranks among Moldova’s top five largest investors: 435 companies are operating in the country, with investments exceeding 57 million euros in share capital
These figures were presented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization in the context of a meeting held the previous day between the head of the ministry, Eugen Osmochescu, and Günther Krichbaum, State Minister for European Affairs at the German Federal Foreign Office. The parties positively assessed the dynamics of the Moldovan-German economic dialogue and noted the continued interest of German investors in Moldova, including the intention of companies already present in the market to expand their investment projects. Eugen Osmochescu highlighted foreign aid projects implemented with the support of the German government in areas such as quality infrastructure, industry, trade, and regulatory policy, which contribute to advancing reforms and harmonizing legislation with EU standards. He also presented to the German Minister the capabilities of Moldova IT Park, the HiTech Park concept, the development of digital public services, and the advantages of the EVO platform.
