BRM EST, in partnership with ANRE and the European Business Association of Moldova, to hold an online seminar on February 26 on “The process of purchasing gas through trading platforms”
As noted in a statement by the Romanian Commodity Exchange EST (Bursa Română de Mărfuri EST), the event is being organized in light of the fact that, starting April 1, large non-household consumers of natural gas will be required to enter into gas supply contracts on the free market. During the online seminar, participants will learn how to connect to BRM EST services, how to use trading platforms, what the procedures for purchasing natural gas are, and hear practical recommendations on complying with new legal obligations. The Romanian Commodity Exchange has been managing commodity markets in Romania for over 30 years, trading in energy, agricultural products, and general goods, which provides the necessary experience to carry out such activities in Moldova through its local branch, BRM EST. BRM EST is registered as a commodity exchange with the necessary legal, technical, and financial capabilities to manage trading platforms in accordance with current public procurement legislation. At the same time, BRM EST has been appointed as the Natural Gas Trading Platform Operator by the National Energy Regulatory Agency of Moldova (ANRE) and owns a platform designed for the purchase of gas by non-household consumers. BRM EST platforms can be used to purchase natural gas or other goods in accordance with Moldovan legislation and European Union rules, both by government agencies and private companies. This approach contributes to greater transparency, competitiveness, and economic efficiency, serving as a tool to reduce the cost of purchased goods, as well as the financial and time costs associated with public procurement. Among the advantages of this procurement method are: zero commission for non-household consumers; reduction of the procurement procedure time from 5 to 7 days; the lowest purchase price obtained thanks to the participation of several suppliers; insurance and transaction guarantees from BRM EST; a variety of suppliers to choose from in order to obtain more favorable terms; a simple and transparent procedure based on national and European public procurement regulations. BRM EST is convinced that such cooperation can bring significant benefits to both parties, contributing to the economic growth and development of Moldova, as well as the strengthening and healthy development of the Moldovan business environment. // 24.02.2026 — InfoMarket.
