Moldova: revenues of mandatory health insurance funds in January-October 2024 increased by 6.3% (+661 million), compared to the same period of 2023, up to 11.2 billion lei

The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) reported this, noting that most of the income came from health insurance contributions as a percentage of salary. Their revenues amounted to 6.8 billion lei, which is 942 million lei more than in the first 10 months of the last year. Transfers from the state budget amounted to about 3.9 billion lei. The fixed contributions to the mandatory health insurance amounted to over 284 million lei, up by about 91 million lei compared to 10 months of the last year. Other incomes of mandatory health insurance funds, including insurance premiums paid by the park residents for information technologies, exceeded 193 million lei, which is 20 million more than the amount for the same period last year. At the same time, in the first 10 months of the current year, the funds of the mandatory health insurance funds were used for expenses totaling about 12.5 billion lei, most of which were transferred to contractual providers of medical and pharmaceutical services.
