The State Tax Service urged citizens to be vigilant in connection with false requests sent to taxpayers with illegal use of the institution’s identity data
In particular, the State Tax Service (STS) advises to be attentive to any information received from dubious persons, in conditions of activation of frauds in the online environment with the illegal use of the identity data of the institution. As noted by the STS, the fraud manifests itself in the sending of messages to the email of taxpayers with the illegal use of the identity data of the STS with the alleged requirement to provide certain documents as part of additional inspections by the tax authority with reference to a regulation canceled back in 2017. “In this context, please ignore such messages and immediately report them to law enforcement authorities as well as to the State Tax Service or other competent institutions. Also, please check any information on the official website of the tax authority www.sfs.md, as well as on the official pages of the institution in social networks (Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram). One can contact us by calling the STS call center phone number: 0 8000 1525 or any other number listed on the “Contacts” page of the STS website. All information related to the activities of the tax authority, tax liabilities of taxpayers is published exclusively on the official website of the tax authority www.sfs.md, as well as on pages in social networks managed by the STS”, emphasized the State Tax Service. // 24.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
