Moldova to introduce a new form of individual property declaration, which will contain additional information
The relevant draft order of the Ministry of Finance has been submitted for public consultation. It contains a new form of standard declaration, as well as instructions for filling it out. The explanatory note to the draft states that the current declaration form does not cover all categories of financial and non-financial assets, and the instructions for filling out contain inaccuracies that may lead to taxpayers incorrectly reflecting the required data, which complicates the tax audit process and may affect the quality of control. The updated version of the document will allow for a more detailed and accurate reflection of all categories of assets, liabilities and financial transactions of individuals. In the updated declaration, taxpayers will present new categories of information: loans, donations, inheritance, advance payments, amounts under management, equity participation. Income from any sources located in and outside Moldova that the taxpayer received during the reporting period, as well as funds stored in bank accounts and in cash, will also be reflected. The taxpayer will indicate the beneficial owner, assets in Moldova and abroad, etc. Consultations on the draft order of the Ministry of Finance are held until November 1: https://goo.su/h6dEU // 30.10.2024 – InfoMarket.
