Moldova is facing a series of policy and market shifts that could affect household utility bills, public spending and business conditions in the months ahead. Following the first half of 2026, the state-owned enterprise "Moldovan Railways" returned to profitability after several years of losses. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection also announced plans to expand and modernize employment services to make it easier for job seekers to find work and for employers to recruit staff.

As part of a broader support program, other measures are already being implemented that address labor inspection, employment, and enforcement of labor laws.
