June 26, 2026, Budapest, Hungary – The Forbes Global 2000 annually ranks the world’s largest publicly traded companies. The list is compiled based on four key financial indicators—revenue, profit, assets, and market capitalization—each weighted equally. According to the methodology, separate rankings are created for each indicator, and the final ranking is determined by their combined score.

“OTP Group was ranked among the top 400 companies in the world in the Forbes Global 2000—an achievement we’ve earned together with our colleagues, customers, and partners as a regional banking group with roots in Hungary. The OTP Group’s continued growth confirms the strength of our strategy and our customer-centric approach. Our nearly 40,000 employees in 11 countries work every day to make life simpler and safer for nearly 17.5 million customers, while also strengthening our leading position in Central and Eastern Europe. “I would like to thank my colleagues for their contribution to our shared success and our customers for the trust that underpins our remarkable growth,” said Péter Csányi, CEO of OTP Bank.

In 2026, OTP Group ranked among the top 1,000 companies in all categories evaluated by Forbes: 360th by profit, 313th by assets, 993rd by revenue, and 658th by market capitalization, resulting in a 398th-place ranking overall. This performance is all the more remarkable given that, four years ago, the Group was not yet among the top 1,000; since then, it has significantly improved its position year after year.
