Freelancers and companies registered within the last 12 months can apply for a business credit card with a limit of up to 40,000 MDL and a grace period of up to 60 days by submitting an application at any maib branch or online.

The early stages of building a business bring many opportunities, but also challenges. Whether it's purchasing new equipment, investing in marketing, launching a product, paying taxes or managing day-to-day expenses, access to financial resources can play a key role in a business's growth.

To support entrepreneurs just starting out, maib offers freelancers and start-ups the opportunity to apply for a business credit card with a limit of up to 40,000 MDL.

This solution is designed for people who are carrying out an independent activity or run a recently registered company and need greater flexibility in managing their business expenses.

Up to 60 days interest-free

Sometimes additional resources are needed to purchase work equipment, develop the services offered, or capitalise on an opportunity that could help grow the business. The business credit card offers a grace period of up to 60 days. This allows freelancers and start-ups to cover business expenses when they need to, and if the amount spent is repaid in full within the grace period, no interest is charged on those transactions.

Who can apply for the business credit card

The product is intended for:

  • freelancers and independent entrepreneurs;

  • companies that have been registered for less than 12 months.

The card can be applied for by directors or founders who hold at least 20% of the company and who meet the eligibility criteria set by the bank.

Several criteria are taken into account when assessing the application, including the credit history of the founder or director.

A partner for growing businesses

Freelancers and start-ups are contributing increasingly to the development of the local economy, and their needs are constantly evolving. In a dynamic environment, financial flexibility can make all the difference when new growth opportunities arise.

By offering access to a business credit card for this segment, maib continues to develop relevant solutions for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova and to support those who turn ideas into businesses.
