According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Advisory Council on Cattle, Sheep, and Goats discussed measures to develop the livestock sector. At the meeting of this sectoral advisory council, participants discussed the current state of the cattle, sheep, and goat breeding sector, support measures for livestock farmers, and access to financing. Council members described the challenges they face in their work and presented proposals received from livestock farmers. In this context, the meeting discussed provisions of the Strategic Program of Agricultural Policies for 2026–2030, support provided by the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development, the planned dates for announcing calls for proposals, and the categories of eligible applicants. The meeting's agenda included issues of cooperation between producers, processors, and traders, as well as access for domestic dairy products to distribution networks.
