
Moldova's state budget revenues amounted to 46 billion 459.7 million lei in January-September 2023, up by 4.15 billion lei (9.8%) over the same period of 2022.
The Finance Ministry reported that, at the same time, Moldova's state budget expenditures for the first nine months of 2023 amounted to 55 billion 572.9 million lei, up by 9 billion 745.1 million lei (+21.3%) compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result, Moldova's state budget deficit in January-September 2023 amounted to 9 billion 113.2 million lei, which is by 5 billion 592 million lei (2.6 times) more than in the same period of 2022. According to the Ministry of Finance, as a whole in the structure of revenues, receipts from taxes and duties in 9 months of 2023 amounted to 40 billion 939.1 million lei (37 billion 899.8 million lei a year earlier), while revenues from grants amounted to 3 billion 208 million lei (2 billion 160.9 million lei). In January-September 2023, the Customs Service traditionally brought the biggest revenues to the treasury: 25 billion 320.5 million lei, which is 781.7 million lei (3.2%) more compared to the same period of 2022. At the same time, the revenues administered by the State Tax Service amounted to 20 billion 338.3 million lei, which is 2 billion 624.9 million lei (14.8%) more than in the same period of the previous year. Revenues from projects financed from external sources in 9 months of 2023 amounted to 623.8 million lei against 274.9 million lei in the same period a year earlier, thus increasing almost 2.3 times. Other revenues amounted to 3 billion 737.6 million lei, up 552.5 million lei (+17.3%) from the previous year. The Ministry of Finance's refund of VAT and excise duties in January-September 2023 amounted to 3 billion 560.5 million lei, up by 154.9 million lei (4.5%) compared to the same period a year earlier. // 31.10.2023 – InfoMarket
