Chisinau Mayor's Office holds public consultations on the draft Municipality Sustainability Strategy for 2024-2030.
The document aims to implement effective mechanisms and strengthen the capacity of local authorities to manage emergencies - both in terms of human resources and financial resources. The draft strategy envisages the development of an action plan to improve resilience, with the establishment of specific steps and actions, the identification of the necessary resources for the implementation of projects, and the establishment of performance indicators. An interdisciplinary mechanism will be established to reduce the risks of disruption, and a platform for exchanging views on risks or risk scenarios is planned. The Strategy also plans to establish a mechanism for evaluating all investment projects in Chisinau and to ensure the publication of information on all investment projects. About 5% of the funds in the municipal budget will be allocated for damage prevention measures. 100% of the data managed by the mayoralties within the municipality will be available to the public. In general, it is planned to increase the transparency of the local public administration.
