CNPF obliged the non-banking credit organization SuperCredit to pay back more than 4.5 million lei to its clients.
The National Financial Market Commission (CNPF) during the thematic control performed at the non-banking credit organization SuperCredit revealed a violation of the maximum amount of interest and other fees stipulated in the contracts (interest, commissions, taxes, penalties, etc.) established by law. The company also violated the procedure of evaluation of loans beneficiaries and the requirements for classification of assets and calculation of provisioning to cover losses for supervisory purposes. Following the inspection CNPF required the administration of the company to remedy the shortcomings detected within 30 days, to reassess the entire loan portfolio and to correct the reporting on assets classification and provisioning, starting with Quarter 1, 2023. At the same time, the regulator ordered the release of the clients from paying off 4.5 million lei on 75 credit contracts (interest, fees, taxes etc.) and the payment of compensation of 95 thousand lei on 29 credit contracts. At the same time, as reported by CNPF, the regulator has instructed another non-banking credit organization - Iute Credit - not to demand the clients to pay back any payments other than the initial amount under the credit agreements, and to EuCredit - to pay within 10 days the regulatory payments for the functioning and the related penalties. // 30.03.2023 – InfoMarket
