
Moldova received about 283.3 million lei from contributions from Sweden and Switzerland to ensure that the accounts of the most vulnerable households are compensated.
This was announced by the Ministry of Finance, noting that, in particular, a tranche in the amount of 283 million 298 thousand 088.38 lei was transferred to its account. This assistance will ensure the provision of compensation using the state mechanism of the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund. The allocation of the corresponding grant funding by the governments of Sweden and Switzerland was announced during the Ministerial Conference "Moldova Support Platform", held on November 21, 2022 in Paris. These funds were provided through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and they were planned in the state budget for the current year.
