
Moldova will send by mid-April full information to the European Commission on the implementation of the recommendations and the level of preparation for accession to the European Union.
The Finance Ministry reported this, noting that, given the commitments undertaken before the European Union, after granting candidate status for EU accession, through the recommendations formulated by the European Commission on the questionnaire filled out by Moldova, the Ministry of Finance organized the first meeting of Working Group No. 32 "Financial Control". The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry and state authorities, appointed members of the Working Group. The meeting was held due to the necessity to fill in an extended questionnaire on financial control which will show the updated situation of Moldova in comparison with the initial questionnaire submitted last year and the level of preparation for joining the European Union. As noted, the Working Group (WG) contribution No. 32 "Financial Control" should be formulated and completed by the end of March, so that by mid-April, Moldova could send full information on all recommendations. According to the ministry, during this week, the Finance Ministry convened meetings of three other working groups led by the ministry: WG 5 "Public Procurement", WG 17 "Economic and Monetary Policy" and WG 33 "Financial and Budgetary Provisions". The meetings were organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Finance 8 sectoral working groups: Economic and Monetary Policy; Financial and Budgetary Regulations; Free Movement of Capital; Financial Services; Taxation; Customs Union; Financial Control; Procurement.
