Moldova's annual inflation (over the last 12 months) continues to decline, reaching 25.91% in February 2023 compared to 27.31% a month earlier.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, specifying that in February 2023, compared to February of the previous year, the average consumer prices for foodstuff went up by 26.47%, for non-foodstuff - by 16.31%, and for services provided to the population - by 39.99%. As noted by the NBS, as a result of the slower growth of monthly inflation in February this year (0.95%) compared to the monthly inflation rate in February 2022 (2.07%), the annual inflation rate in February 2023 (25.91%) decreased by 1.4 percentage points compared to January 2023 (27.31%). Thus, in February 2023, there was a further decline in the annual inflation rate, which has been continuing since November 2022. // 10.03.2023 - InfoMarket.
