
The USAID project provides grants totaling about 7.5 million lei for digital transformation with the participation of young people in targeted sectors.
As USAID Moldova reports, specifically, the grant funding is provided through the USAID Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity. The goal is to support initiatives to engage youth in the digital transformation of the value-added agriculture, wine sector, and tourism through partnerships between educational institutions and private companies. Activities funded by the grant will be planned for a period not to exceed 24 months and may include: promotion and dissemination of digital transformation in target sectors; creation of agritech clubs for youth, short professional courses in partnership with private sector companies; organization of study visits to companies implementing digital tools and technologies in their operations; development of digital learning platforms for specialties, professions and target sectors; training and skill development programs The project provides grants of a total value of about 7.5 million lei, for a maximum of 24 months. The amount of the grant per beneficiary may vary from 1 million to 1.5 million lei, with applicants contributing at least 10% of the total cost of the activity.
