Salaries of employees of budgetary organizations and self-supporting enterprises will be distributed through the MPay, starting January 1, 2023.
The relevant legislative initiative was considered on Wednesday by the Parliamentary Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance. The Commission supported the bill, while deciding to ask the National Bank position on the initiative. It is worth noting that today salaries, including in the public sector, are distributed through 11 commercial banks and one provider of non-banking services - the company Paymaster. Using MPay for the distribution of salaries will allow beneficiaries to choose the provider of payment services independently, without reference to the payroll projects of employers, according to the model of distribution of social benefits. Accordingly, state agencies and self-supporting enterprises will not need to conclude annual contracts with payment service providers for wage distribution, because such contractual relations will be established by trilateral agreements concluded between the Electronic Management Agency, which is the owner of MPay, the Ministry of Finance, which is an authorized participant, and payment service providers. // 28.09.2022 - InfoMarket
