In Moldova is being created a public depository of financial statements.
Monitorul Oficial published the concept of the information system "Public Financial Statements Depository". Its owner and holder will be the National Bureau of Statistics, which will ensure the creation and implementation of this system. The Public Financial Statements Depository will be an integrated information system for the collection, compilation, analysis and publication of financial statements, management report and audit report of the legal units of Moldova. The creation of such a depository is provided for in the Law on Accounting and Financial Reporting. According to the concept, it is supposed to interconnect the Public Financial Statements Depository with existing information resources that will automatically supply data from the financial statements of all legal units for verification and storage. The depository will generate a series of data, which will be periodically published on the unified government site of open data (date.gov.md). Thanks to the Public Financial Statements Depository, the transparency of financial reporting will increase, business processes and documents related to reporting will be standardized, and the time of interaction with potential data users will decrease. Also, the costs associated with the processing and access to financial reporting data will be reduced, and all interested parties will be able to access a single information resource. The costs of creating and developing this Public Financial Statements Depository will be covered by the Investment Climate Reform project of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), within the funds allocated from the state budget, as well as other funds provided for in the legislation.//23.09.2022 — InfoMarket.
