Small and medium-sized enterprises will receive grants of up to 2 million lei for re- technologization and energy efficiency.

The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) has launched a three-year Program for Re-technologization and Energy Efficiency in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Moldova. It aims to increase SME productivity, replace inefficient equipment with modern technological solutions and optimize production costs through energy efficiency measures. Present at the launch of the Program, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita pointed out the importance of the project for the development of entrepreneurship and Moldova’s economy as a whole, and emphasized that the modernization of enterprises will improve their competitiveness both at the national and international levels. The program includes three components: informing potential beneficiaries about the program and its benefits, non-refundable financial assistance, evaluation and monitoring. The grant component includes two categories of support: up to 2 million lei for the re-technologization (production automation, robotization, modernization of existing technological lines, etc.) and up to 1 million lei for the installation of equipment and systems for renewable energy production (solar panels with heating system, photovoltaic panels for electricity production, technological equipment for biogas production, etc.). In both cases, the grant component may not exceed 50% of the project cost, and the beneficiary must ensure a minimum 15% reduction in electricity consumption as a result of project implementation. The annual expenditures for the implementation of the Program will be 50 million lei. The money will be allocated from the state budget and from resources provided by external and local donors. // 09.08.2022 - InfoMarket
