The average salary in Moldova in the first quarter of 2022 was 470 euros ($528).
It is noted that the average monthly salary in Moldova (gross) in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 9560.8 lei, and in real terms it decreased by 5.2% compared to the same period of 2021, while in nominal terms it increased by 12.9%. In the public sector the average salary amounted to 8190.6 lei (+9.7% in nominal terms), in the real sector - 10 054.2 lei (+13.7%), while in real terms they decreased by 7.9% and, respectively, by 4.5%. At the same time, the average pension as of July 1, 2022 constituted 3,133.5 lei, up 37.9% as compared to the same period of the previous year.
