Established in 1996, the Tvardita FEZ occupies 3.57 hectares on the territory of the city of the same name. The volume of attracted investments in this zone since the beginning of its activity exceeded $ 19 million, and the volume of contributions to the state budget for the entire time amounted to more than 265 million lei (in 2020 - 39 million lei, + 18.2% compared to 2019 and + 21.9% compared to 2018). Currently, it has 5 registered residents. According to the administration of the free trade zone “Tvardita”, the largest resident of the zone is the company “Moldavskiy Standard”, whose sales of industrial products last year amounted to 120.5 million lei. This enterprise employs more than 100 people, it is engaged in the full cycle of production of alcoholic beverages: from planting selected varieties of vineyards, preparation and processing of raw materials into high-quality wine materials for distillation into cognac spirits, storage and aging of cognac spirits to obtaining finished cognac. Another large resident, Zolotoy Aist, is also engaged in the production of cognac. In 2020, the volume of its sales exceeded 88.3 million lei, it employs over 100 people. Luxfarmol has been engaged in pharmaceutical activities since 2008 and provides a complete technological chain - from development to packaging of finished products; the company employs about 20 people. It produces over 50 different medical products, in 2020 its sales volume exceeded 54.8 million lei. Vinsnabtrest, a resident of the FEZ “Tvarditsa”, is engaged in foreign trade, its sales last year amounted to almost 30 million lei. Also, within the framework of the FEZ Natural Product produces perfumery and cosmetic products: in 2020, the sales volume amounted to 2.3 million lei, and the number of employees exceeded 20 people. The FEZ administration also emphasizes that more than 40 enterprises have been created in Tvardita, which have become suppliers of a various range of goods and services used by residents.
