2 new residents will start their activities at the Valkanes FEZ in the II quarter of 2021; one of them, an investor from Germany, will launch the production of gas piston power generators.
Drector of the Valkanes free economic zone (FEZ) Mihail Salvir announced this, noting that at the end of 2020, a competition for the selection of residents of the FEZ was held there, in which 2 applicants were announced as winners. The first new resident - Sarco Engineering - is a developer planning to build at least 2,000 sq. m of production space in the Comrat sub-zone. The second company is an investor from Germany, which plans to place an industrial production of gas-piston power generators with a capacity of 15 to 500 kW. Both residents will begin their activities in the second quarter of 2021. It is planned that the developer Sarco Engineering will create up to 100 new jobs in Gagauzia at various stages of construction, and the German enterprise for the production of gas piston electric generators plans to gradually develop production and form about 100-150 skilled workers in short term. However, if we take into account the plans to organize several teams for the adjustment and maintenance of the produced generators, the number of jobs can increase significantly. Mihail Salvir said that Sarco Engineering will build production facilities on the territory of the Valkanes FEZ, since many potential investors with whom negotiations are underway are looking for ready-made premises to locate production and are not ready to invest in construction. The developer assumes the risk of construction, development of related infrastructure, and further lease of these areas to potential investors. So far Sarco Engineering has no plans to build other facilities in the autonomy. This will be their first experience in Gagauzia and the FEZ administration hopes for fruitful cooperation in the future. Mihail Salvir said that Sarco Engineering is a very interesting development company, with vast experience in the construction and reconstruction of industrial buildings throughout Moldova. This company uses new materials, new technologies, and is focused on energy efficiency. Therefore, the arrival of such a company in Gagauzia will bring new experience and knowledge to this field of activity.
