According to the Organization for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova (ODIMM), grants of up to 180 thousand lei will be issued within the framework of the third competition of projects of the “Start for Youth” program. A total of 170 jobs will be created. More than half of the selected companies (56%) will develop their business in the service sector: ATV rental, post-production of films; educational services for children; medical and social assistance; photo shoots, etc. About 43% of companies operate in the manufacturing industry: woodworking / furniture production, food industry / bakery products; production of candles, soap, cosmetics, natural juices; production of drainage systems, etc. A number of other enterprises operate in agriculture and animal husbandry: beekeeping; are engaged in the cultivation of mushrooms; growing vegetables in a greenhouse; growing potatoes; rabbit farms; and others. Of the total number of projects, about 63% work in rural areas, and 37% - in Chisinau. Most of the projects will be implemented in Chisinau, Gagauzia, Ungheni, Causeni, Cagul, Orhei and Ialoveni regions. Grants are issued for the purchase of: technological equipment, machinery, instrumentation, etc. At the same time, up to 30% of the grant is made up of intangible assets: software, franchises, obtaining quality certificates, etc. The beneficiary's contribution is 20% of the total project budget. In total, 152 enterprises were financed in 2020 for a total of about 25 million lei, which will bring about 45 million lei to the national economy.
