The third place in terms of concentration of enterprises - in the IT and communications sector - 50.8% of the turnover was provided by Orange Moldova, Moldtelecom, Moldcell, Endava and S&T Services. The Top 5 companies in this sector employ 27.1% of the industry's employees. The total turnover of the IT sector (1601 enterprises with 20.1 thousand employees) in 2019 amounted to 13.22 billion lei. A high concentration of enterprises was noted in the field of transport and storage (32.5% of turnover and 37.4% of industry workers), the TOP-5 companies included Air Moldova, Fly One, Calea Ferata din Moldova, Avia Invest and Poșta Moldovei. The turnover of this sector (2375 enterprises with 42.7 thousand employees) totaled 20.74 billion lei. In the sector "Activities of accommodation and catering enterprises" the concentration level was 25.4% (Trabo-Plus, Leogrand Hotel, Food Planet Restaurants, Aerofood and Deea House). Of the 16.4 thousand workers in this industry, 17.1% are employed in the TOP-5 companies. In total, the turnover of 1,677 enterprises in this sector in 2019 exceeded 4.47 billion lei. In the construction industry, 5 leading companies provided 14.8% of turnover and 6.1% of jobs: Exfactor-grup, Summa, EnergoTehComplet, Stayer and Nouconst. A total of 2,522 enterprises (28.09 thousand employees) are registered in the construction industry with a total turnover of about 20.4 billion lei. In the manufacturing industry, the concentration level of the top 5 large enterprises was 13.9% (Lear Corporation, GG Cables & Wireles EE, DRA Draexlmaier Automotive, Floarea soarelui and SE Bordnetze). These companies employ 13.9% of the average number of workers in the manufacturing industry. In total, 3.67 thousand enterprises (almost 105.2 thousand employees) operate in this sector, and the turnover of the sector amounted to 56.9 billion lei. The lowest level of concentration is in the wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, where Rompetrol Moldova, Lukoil-Moldova, Agrofloris-Nord, Moldretail Group and Petrom-Moldova accounted for about 11.9% of the total turnover of the sector and 5.5% of all employees. In total, almost 15.6 thousand enterprises (116.2 thousand employees) operated in the trade sector, and the industry's turnover amounted to almost 185.76 billion lei.
