Dumitru Vicol noted that, as expected, the state budget deficit in 2021 will amount to 14 billion lei, and the country plans to borrow 11 billion lei in equivalent abroad. According to the expert, of which 5.9 billion lei is used to support the budget, which means salaries and pensions. At the same time, out of this amount of 5.9 billion lei, 3.3 billion lei should come from the IMF, and 1.1 billion lei - from the EU, but only if there is a new agreement with the IMF. Dumitru Vicol stressed that the probability of signing a new agreement with the IMF at the moment is very low due to the law on lustration, the so-called "Law on the cancellation of a billion", as well as the procedure for approving the budget. “Representatives of Socialist Party of RM-Sor did everything possible to prevent Moldova from receiving these 4.4 billion lei from the IMF and the EU.
