
In the third quarter of 2020, the average nominal wage in Moldova amounted to 8074.3 lei, an increase of 9.3% compared to the same period in 2019.
As InfoMarket was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in real terms, taking into account the growth of inflation, the average salary increased by 5.8% compared to the III quarter of 2019. At the same time, compared to the II quarter of 2020, the average salary in Moldova for 9 months of 2020 increased by 2.9%. It should be noted that in the third quarter of 2020 the average salary in the public sector was 7032.9 lei (+ 8.9% compared to the same period in 2019), and in the real sector of the economy - 8452.2 lei (+9.4%). The highest salaries were received by workers in the ICT sector - 18,118.4 lei (+ 12% compared to the same period in 2019), in the financial and insurance industry - 14,099.3 lei (+ 7.7%), as well as by enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 13 799.1 lei (+ 7.3%). In these areas, salaries covered the average salary in the country by 233%, 179.8% and, accordingly, 154.8%. The lowest salaries remain in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 5,100 lei (-5.4%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 5,282.8 lei (+ 2%), as well as in the field of recreation and entertainment - 5 620.7 lei (+ 11%). In these areas, wages were lower than the average for the economy, by 32.5%, by 36.6% and, accordingly, by 26.8%. Average salary of employees in the sphere of administrative services and auxiliary activities - 6 448 lei (+ 8.1%); in education - 6 570.4 lei (+ 5.9%); in the field of real estate transactions - 6 698.6 lei (+ 7.4%); in the field of transport and storage services - 6 843.2 lei (-5.8%); in the sphere of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles - 7,370.1 lei (+ 7.1%); in the construction industry - 8 105.8 lei (+ 5.8%); in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 9 696.2 lei (+ 11.5%); in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities - 10,190.9 lei (+ 4.2%). In the industrial sector, wages averaged 7,928.51 lei (+ 7.5%), including in the extractive industry - 7,495.6 lei (+ 12.4%), in the processing sector - 7,210.5 lei ( + 6.6%), at the enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and treatment and restoration work - 7 687.6 lei (+ 8.7%), at enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 13 799.1 lei (+ 7.3%).// 30.11.2020 — InfoMarket.
