
The income of banks in Moldova from exchange rate differences in January-September 2023 amounted to 1 billion 285.3 million lei, increasing by 74 million (+6.1%) compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, the largest profit from exchange rate differences for 9 months of 2023 received maib: 376.31 million lei against 356.88 million lei for the same period a year earlier. OTP Bank took 2nd place in this indicator, having received income from exchange rate differences in the amount of over 217.75 million lei in January-September (a year earlier - 196 million lei). In 3rd place is Moldindconbank, whose similar income for January-September 2023 amounted to 189.66 million lei against 173.36 million lei for the same period in 2022.
