Moldova’s direct public debt to international organizations in the first half of 2023 increased by $313.78 million (+10.7%), amounting to $3 billion 252.74 million.
As the InfoMarket agency was informed by the National Bank of Moldova, the state’s debt to the International Monetary Fund increased in January-June 2023 by 12.7% - from $943.68 million (at the end of 2022 to $1 billion 063.36 million ( at the end of the first half of 2023), to the International Development Association (IDA), part of the World Bank group, increased by 0.6% - from $781.53 million to $786.51 million, to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development increased by 34 .6% - from $345.1 million to $464.6 million, and to the European Investment Bank - increased by 2.1% - from $397.26 million to $405.78 million. Direct public debt to the European Commission increased by 26.2% - from $186.16 million to $234.9 million, and to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), part of the WB group, increased by 1.9% - from $144.6 million to $147.32 million.
