Tatiana Ivanicichina and Arcadie Albul have been appointed new vice-presidents of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) for a period of 7 years.
The corresponding resolution was adopted by the parliament. The candidatures of Tatiana Ivanicichina and Arcadia Albul for the vacant positions of Vice President of the NBM were proposed to parliament by the President of the National Bank, Octavian Armasu. He noted that both candidates meet the conditions for appointment, have a good reputation and the necessary rich experience in the financial and banking sector to fulfill their duties. At the same time, it was stipulated that the 7-year mandate of the Vice-President of the NBM Arcadie Albul will begin on March 1, 2022. It should be noted that Tatiana Ivanicichina worked in the Ministry of Finance, going from a consultant to the Main Directorate of Public Debt to Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance. At the same time, from the end of 2020 until the appointment of a new government in August 2021, Tatiana Ivanicichina de facto headed the Ministry of Finance after Minister of Finance Sergiu Puscuta had left the post, demonstrating her ability to make effective decisions in difficult conditions of political and economic crisis.
