
Moldovan banks’ net profit in January-October 2021 amounted to 1 billion 882.2 million lei, up 487.8 million (+ 35%) compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks received profit for 10 months of this year. At the same time, about 1 billion 598.78 million lei (84.9% of the total net profit) accounted for 4 banks: MAIB, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and OTP Bank. About 283.42 million lei of net profit were earned by the remaining 7 banks. At the same time, in 10 out of 11 banks that had profit in the specified period of 2021, profit volumes increased versus the same period in 2020, and 1 bank's profit decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank, in particular, in January-October 2021, the largest net profit was received by: MAIB - 578.37 million lei (in January-October 2020 - 548.5 million lei), Moldindconbank - 521.85 million lei (349.99 million), Victoriabank - 264.59 million lei (220.52 million) and OTP Bank - 233.97 million lei (114.52 million).
