Moldovan banks’ net profit in January-September 2021 amounted to 1 billion 658.75 million lei, up 507.44 million (+ 44.1%) to the same period in 2020.

According to the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), all 11 banks registered the profit for 9 months of this year. At the same time, about 1 billion 406.8 million lei (84.8% of the total net profit) accounted for 4 banks: Moldova-Agroindbank, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and OTP Bank. The remaining 7 banks earned about 251.9 million lei in net profit. At the same time, in 10 out of 11 banks that registered profit for the specified period of 2021, profit increased relative to the same period in 2020, and in 1 bank, the profit decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, in January-September 2021, the largest net profit was received by: Moldova-Agroindbank - 504.66 million lei (in January-September 2020 - 465.37 million lei), Moldindconbank - 460.56 million lei (280.79 million), Victoriabank - 230.38 million lei (168.87 million) and OTP Bank - 211.2 million lei (83.04 million).
