
The share of loans issued by banks of Moldova to resident legal entities as of the end of August 2021 amounted to 59.4%, having decreased by 0.8 percentage points relative to the previous month.
The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) informed that, in particular, as of the end of August 2021, such loans were issued for a total of 31 billion 147.5 million lei (-2.7% compared to the previous month) out of the total amount of loans of 52 billion 445.8 million lei (+ 1.8%). At the same time, loans to resident individuals amounted to 20 billion 662.5 million lei, (+ 3.7%), and their share in the total volume increased from 38.7% to 39.4%. Loans to non-resident legal entities as of the end of August 2021 amounted to 626.2 million lei (+ 8.3% compared to the previous month), while loans to non-resident individuals amounted to 9.69 million lei (-0.6%). According to the NBM, the largest amounts of loans to resident legal entities as of the end of August 2021 were issued by: Moldova-Agroindbank - 11.76 billion lei, Moldindconbank - 4.77 billion lei, OTP Bank - 4.29 billion lei, ProCredit Bank - 3.39 billion lei, Victoriabank - 2.28 billion lei. The largest amounts of loans to non-resident legal entities were provided by: OTP Bank - 383.04 million lei, Moldova-Agroindbank - 137.7 million lei and Victoriabank - 97.7 million lei. The leading positions in issuing loans to resident individuals belong to Moldova-Agroindbank - 6.08 billion lei, Moldindconbank - 5.41 billion lei, OTP Bank - 4.05 billion lei, Victoriabank - 2.51 billion lei. // 11.10.2021 – InfoMarket
