
The net profit of the banks of Moldova in January-April 2021 amounted to 527.9 million lei, decreasing by 34.4 million (-6.1%) compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, the profit in the first 4 months this year received all 11 banks. Herewith, about 455.4 million lei (86.3% of the total net profit) accounted for 4 banks: Moldindconbank, Mobiasbanca - OTP Group, Moldova-Agroindbank and Victoriabank. The remaining 7 banks earned about 72.5 million lei in net profit. Meanwhile, only 3 out of 11 banks that made a profit for the specified period of 2021 increased its volumes, compared to the same period in 2020, and for 8 banks the amount of profit decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank, in particular, in January-April 2021, the largest net profit was received by: Moldindconbank - 160.72 million lei (in January-April 2020 - 113.4 million), Moldova-Agroindbank - 157.98 million lei (220.8 million lei), Mobiasbanca - OTP Group - 94.26 million lei (71.93 million) and Victoriabank - 42.41 million lei (60.19 million). Further, in terms of net profit in the first 4 months 2021 follow: ProCreditBank - 19.64 million lei (in January-April 2020 - 20 million lei), FinComBank - 15.21 million lei (19.41 million lei), Eximbank - 14.96 million lei (17.92 million lei), Energbank - 10.34 million lei (17.05 million lei), Comertbank - 6.31 million lei (6.65 million), EuroCreditBank - 3.72 million lei (2.94 million), BCR Chisinau - 2.33 million lei (11.99 million).
