
Moldovan banks’ income from the exchange rate difference in January-March 2021 amounted to 249.55 million lei, down 5.63 million (-2.2%) compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, Moldova-Agroindbank received the largest profit from the exchange rate difference in the first 3 months of this year: 67.4 million lei against 65.75 million lei a year earlier. Moldindconbank is on the second place, having received in the first quarter of 2021 income from the exchange rate difference totaling about 42.91 million lei (the same period last year - 37.53 million lei). The 3rd place was taken by Mobiasbanca - OTP Group, whose similar income in the first 3 months of 2021 amounted to 36.66 million lei (38.78 million lei).
