The National Bank of Moldova said this, recalling that both the funds in the accounts of three banks on the day of revocation of their licenses, and the funds received later by the liquidators are used for the costs of the liquidation process, as well as for the payment of bank debt obligations for emergency loans. From the day the licenses were revoked until the end of 2020 inclusive, the liquidators of the banks paid the National Bank of Moldova and the Ministry of Finance part of the debts on emergency loans issued to banks before the appointment of liquidators, which, according to the order of repayment of claims, are priority for payment. In general, the amount of used term loans previously received by banks from the NBM under state guarantees amounted to 14 billion 121.75 million lei, including, Banca de Economii used urgent loans for 9.27 billion lei, Banca Socială - 2.7 billion lei, Unibank - 2.15 billion lei. The aggregate repayments of banks to the National Bank of Moldova from the date of revocation of the license until October 3, 2016, amounted to 780 million 558 thousand lei, including the Banca de Economii returned about 190.2 million lei to the NBM during this period, Banca Socială - 308 million lei, and Unibank - 282.3 million lei.
